STA is a type of support funded by the NDIS to provide temporary respite, support, and accommodation for you, typically for up to 28 days per year. It helps you develop new skills, engage in community activities, and gives your informal support a break.

We are a registered NDIS provider specialising in designing STA that align with your NDIS goals. Does STA need to be listed in my plan?

When not directly funded for STA in your plan and you are planning to use your core budget which can cover STA to meet your goals, using it might reduce the funds available for other daily living supports listed in your plan. We work with you and your support network to ensure it aligns with your NDIS plan.

Also, while the NDIS won’t directly fund your holiday expenses like travel, accommodation, or entertainment, you might be able to claim some NDIS funding for support you need while on your trip. This will depend on the details of your NDIS plan and your individual circumstances.
